Cookie is an American DJ who got into dance music in the early 90s. The Crystal Method, Electroliners, Sunscream, Prodigy, Lords of Acid, and Moby were early influences.
Towards the late 90s, he went to Amsterdam and heard what was being called Jungle at an Internet cafe and later that night checked out the legendary club Melkweg where he heard Jungle on a loud sound system.
Months later, he heard Goldie's Inner City Life on a syndicated radio show and found that "Jungle" that had been banging around in his memory since returning to the states.
In March 1998, he walked into the Blue Note for Metalheadz in London and it blew his mind.
Cookie has since then organized several raves and club nights with International DJs, opened and operated a record shop in the states called Element Records, given away over 5000 I
He has DJ'd in America, China, Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and the UK.
His first love of music will always be Drum N Bass, but he also enjoys the deep and soulful sounds of house music.
